Question:

There is a status bar under search box that says: "Click here to enable Instant Search". How can I remove or disable it?


Answer:

To disable the Outlook "Instant Search" status bar:
1. Click/Select Tools menu, then click Options
2. On the Options pop up dialog windows, select Other tab
3. Click on Advanced Options (#1 in screen shot)
4. On the Advanced Options windows, uncheck "Show prompt to enable Instant Search" (#2 in screen shot)
