Question:
When I connect my monitor through HDMI cable, there is a 1/2 to 1 inch border between the edge of the LCD screen and the display area. Why there is a black border when I connect my monitor using HDMI cable?

Answer:
It is the HDMI underscan/overscan settings. You should go into nvidia/ATI’s control panel to disable/adjust HDMI overscan. It will fix the problem.
