Sometime the Exchange roll up update may break the OWA

How to fix,

Run the Exchange Management Shell

Remove-OwaVirtualDirectory “owa (Default Web Site)”

Then recreate the owa with

New-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion “Exchange2007″ -Name “owa (Default Web Site)”

***It may failed the first time to recreate the OWA, restart the IIS services and then try the command again.

To disable updates, navigate toHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\JavaSoft\Java Update\Policy\

The official fix, per Sun, would be to create a new DWORD value called EnableAutoUpdateCheck, and set it to 0. Unfortunately though, it didn’t work, perhaps because the update had already been checked for, and was in queue just wanting to be installed.

Changing the key EnableJavaUpdate to 0 worked without needing to install updates, and stopped prompting non-admin users from installing updates.

An alternative method would be to stop the update utility from running by deleting the keyHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\SunJavaUpdateSched

  1. Added Registry Key HKey_Local_Maschine\ SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Virtualization, New Reg_DWORD, Name “VssRevertTimeout”, Value 360 (decimal). I’m not sure if this one is required. Have added this key first, didn’t change anything, added the second key that is mentioned below and haven’t removed this key.
  2. Added Registry Key “HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SPP”
    DWord : CreateTimeout
    Value decimal: 12000000    (2*10*60*1000 = 20 mins).
